Live Briefing: India in 2023VIEW EVENT DETAILS
[INVITATION ONLY] A First-Hand Account of the Country's Current State of Affairs
2023 is an opportune year for India to position itself as a global leader: the country is the president of the Group of 20 (G-20), holds the rotating presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), and will host the Quad Foreign Ministers Meeting. What is more, the Indian economy appears to be better prepared than other major economies to withstand the many headwinds facing the world. And in April this year, India is expected to overtake China as the most populous country.
What are the implications of an increasingly assertive India? How do government officials, business people and academics in India perceive these opportunities in 2023? Are people in India generally optimistic about their country’s future, and what are their main concerns? And how can Switzerland effectively leverage existing opportunities?
This February, Asia Society Switzerland’s Executive Director Nico Luchsinger is spending a week in India to meet with government officials, journalists, business leaders and think-tank representatives to find answers to these questions. We invite you to join us for an online Live Briefing after his return during which he will share his first-hand account of India’s current state of affairs and answer these – and your – questions.
This event is invitation only. Want to receive an invitation? Become a Passport Member today and receive regular invitations to our Executive Roundtables, Live Briefings and other exclusive events. More information here.
