Families
Coca-Cola Family Programs
Learn, create, and celebrate! Asia Society brings families closer together by providing children of all ages with fun and educational opportunities to engage with Asia. Through a series of Family Days, exhibition-related programs, and Family Activity Guides, families can enjoy time together exploring the rich traditions and cultures of Asia. Family Days provide afternoons of performances and art-making workshops to celebrate and learn about major Asian holidays.
Schools
School Programs in the Museum
Building on the idea of the Museum as an extension of the classroom, Asia Society offers interactive guided tours for school groups (grades 3–12). In the galleries, teachers and students can learn about the works of art on view, discuss how art relates to their own experiences, and discover what's new and compelling about art today. School tours are available Tuesday through Friday beginning at 10:00 am.
To schedule a school or teacher group visit, or for further information, please call 212-327-9237.
Collaborative Programs
Since 1993 a partnership between Asia Society and the arts education nonprofit Studio in a School has brought New York City public school students and their artwork into the Museum. Each fall students from several public schools view a major exhibition at Asia Society Museum, and in response create their own paintings, sculptures, and installations, which are featured the following spring in a special exhibition in the Museum galleries.
